In a few words, you must be kidding. Jeff moved from possible representative to trusted advisor quickly. Here is why: He listens: This is top of the list. He actually does something called active listening. Instead of firing off questions he makes statements that encourages opening up about details. You don't feel cornered into answering the question or if it is right or wrong. At the end of the conversation, he will know how best to communicate with you to meet your needs. Having tough conversations: Jeff gently but firmly will guide you to the reality of your market in this moment. It doesn't matter what the market was doing 6 months ago what matters is you have a partner who is going to get as much as possible for your transaction in today's environment. It may not be what you thought but he is skilled and knows what is real. Remember, you picked the moment not your agent. If you have interviewed someone who said "We can try that number and change it later" be prepared to languish on the market longer than you expected. He has a network: This Real Estate business is all about who you know to make things happen quickly and effectively. That outreach includes buyers, agents, mortgage brokers, inspections, appraisals, title companies and more. Each of these are a moving part in the machine that will close your transaction, and each has to be worked. You can't count on the internet and open houses to be your machine. Ask him about his marketing plan, I did. Honesty and truthfulness: Jeff genuinely cares about meeting agreed upon expectations and works tirelessly to achieve goal. You might think this skill should be assumed but you would be wrong. You must have complete trust in your important financial decision.
